The Model WTO is a unique, realistic, and high level simulation of the WTO ministerial negotiations organized by oikos, a student initiative for sustainable economics. In partnership with the University of St Gallen, the World Trade Organization (WTO), the World Trade Institute (WTI) and the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (IHEID), 60 international top students will get to participate at the WTO simulation in Switzerland.

- You will be required to submit an essay of 300-400 words on the topic – “In the last years, we have seen the WTO being stuck, while regional & bilateral trade agreements gained ground, so how would you assess the role of the WTO in the upcoming decade and do you think that the WTO will need to adjust to this new environment, if so, how?”
